Ah yes, lyrical titles are fun aren’t they? Anyways. I have a SERIOUS question for you! I know you’re excited. How many people does it take to put together a desk? Apparently a lot, because having 4 people was just not enough. My mother came into town over the weekend and yesterday while she was here went all over town trying to find a desk. Sounds simple, but it wasn’t. We went EVERYWHERE. A lady she (and I use to work with too) came with her too since she came to Tallahassee to watch her daughters townhouse (which she technically owns) along with the dogs. Finally, we found one at Office Depot. It’s a cute desk, and hey it said “no tools required” so it sounded easy enough. I started putting it together last night at around 1am and gave up shortly after. Today my mother and the lady (Joanne) had to drop of some of my stuff we bought yesterday that was left in the car. They stayed and helped. So we had myself, Becca (friend/roommate), my mother, and Joanne all putting together a desk. Eventually they had to leave, and all that was left was a few things. So annoying, but I like the desk. I like the one at home better, but it’s huge so moving it would be hard. Pictures below the cut.

You can see my new laptop in this picture, along with my shiny Heroes wallpaper on it, I love that show. Oh yes, and the printer and of course a Johnny Depp picture Becca bought me for my bithday heh. Ipod in the picture as well. Click image to the left for larger view.

Bottom where the main computer would go, but since I don’t need my computer (it’s in my closet until I transfer my files) I stuck my school books there (all $200+ worth), a bottle (really good tea, but the bottle is cute so I kept it), along with the cd’s for the computer (programs, etc.). Again, click image to left for a larger view.

Image on the left is just a closer view of Mr. Depp and my shiny laptop. On the right is a pirate flag from the pirate party I had a few weeks ago along with a corkboard that is naked because I just put it up and have yet to put pictures on it. Again click each image for a larger view.

Finally a flag to show my school spirit that I bought on campus about a week ago. Right now it’s over my bedroom window but I plan on moving it at some point. FSU yay, I don’t plan on going “all out” but I do plan on having a few FSU related items in my room. Click for a larger view.

I can’t wait until my next day off from school, I really do not want to go to classes tomorrow haha. At least I enjoyed the weekend with friends and of course my mother. Becca and I plan on buying beta fish soon, for a nice little pet to have since we both miss our dogs greatly and we can’t have a “real” pet so we get fishes. Now I am off to do Despair.nu reports before I forget and let the reports build up. Well, that only took like 20 minutes heh, didn’t take as long as I thought it would. Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend, and have a nice Monday haha. Note: I addd two new catergories to my blog. Apartment and Home, so when I am home I will use home when I am in the apartment I’ll use apartment. Easy enough.

Cool about the desk – IMO, it doesn’t matter how many people it takes to put it together as long as you like it in the end. :) I think it’s awesome that you’re getting fish – it’s a pity you can’t play with them though. :P

I hope you succeeded to put the desk together eventually. Once we was 4 people and a whole box of tools to put together a closet… We finished in about four days – and then I moved out so we had to take it all down again right away.

Lol, it seems to me that things that claim to be buildable without tools are the hardest to put together. At least you were able to put it together eventually, yeah? It sucks that you and your roommate can’t have real pets, like your dogs, but I guess getting the fish would be cool too. =)

Oh, and btw, I love that brand of tea too, lol. It tastes great and I’ve got to agree, the bottle is cute. xD

Hmm, my dad or bf have always put together my put togetheraables by themselves. But maybe they’re just good at putting stuff together. I know I’d not be able to cause I’d get frustrated with it heh. But I’m glad you got it together finally and it looks great. It’s a cute desk, but hopefully it has enough deskspace for you to do you work.

I can use a new computer desk. Actually, mine is fine now, but it’s really… small, scratched up, and ugly. I’m just a bit over demanding. I hate when they overexaggerate instructions. lol.

Oh, I get all my furniture at IKEA, which means I’ve pretty much become very good assembling furniture parts, no bragging. I just recently helped my Dad install a kitchen counter and sink. Actually, my Dad used to own his own furniture store when he still used to work, he can build furniture with his own 2 hands… so, I’ve learned a few things from the old man. :)

Fish are fantastic fake pets. Although my fish bowl now is a place for my keys, wallet, phone and loose change when I’m at home… (Gus died months ago… but its okay, he was $3.00)

Ah! Heroes premiered on Australian TV last night! I only saw the last five minutes, it looked odd; but interesting enough to watch from the beginning next week!

Ugh, tell me about putting together anything. I got a whole bunch of stuff (desk included) the last time I redid my room when I still lived with my parents. They told me to put it together myself and it was a nightmare. Fortunately my father then offered to assist and everything worked out alright.

I’ve always found fish to be great pets. They generally die young, but you don’t get so attached to them as you would to a cat. Our cat died last summer and we were heartbroken. So in that respect fish are better. ;)

Wow. I have the exact same friggin’ wallpaper. Crazy. Nice desk hard to believe it took so long to put together for a simple desk though. But then again the crib for my daughter took like 5 hours straight for my poor boyfriend. But then again it had crazy ass instructions and misspellings so I guess you get what you pay for.

Target normally has some nice diy furniture. Or Ikea. I love Ikea haha, and it’s really cheap! I got a loft bed from there a couple years ago, and me and my friends put it together ourselves (and we were 17 at the time!). Ikea is easy stuff.

haha, that reminds me of my desk. one of the drawrs still dosn’t work right. :/ But that could be because I was sturborn and put the whole thing together myself. I guess I’m lucky that the drawr is that only problm. :P Love the site! The skins are great.
