Blogathon – still going strong with it! Do you ever find you have a new message on your phone only to find it’s for someone else? I HATE THAT! Lets pretend for a moment that you are going to call your friend umm Candy (I dunno first thing I thought of haha). You dial Candy’s number instead of for some reason using your contact list and the phone rings a few times. Ring ring ring, and the voicemail message comes on. Instead of hearing Candy’s perky-self you here “Hey you’ve reached Martin…” so one would think since you were calling Candy and you get Martin’s voicemail that you’d hang up right? WRONG. I can not tell you how many times I have gotten calls for Alex and other random names when I clearly state “VERONICA” on my phone. It amazes me how well people listen. I could understand if you assumed that maybe the person you are reaching gave someone else’s number that you could reach them at … but don’t you think they’d tell you?
Another thing I want to rant about is people who talk loud. Now I can understand if you’re in an area with a lot of people and friends, by all means talk loud no one else will hear you anyway. But when you are on say, a bus STFU. I do not want to hear about your relationship issues on the other side of the bus. Everyone else can hear you. Do you not realize that? IÂ mean sure my friend and I talk on the bus when we take it from the stadium to where our class is but not everyone can hear us. I also noticed people do this on the phone too, you don’t have to yell. Seriously.
So Becca went to the gym at the school and I would go but I am way too tired and I probably would have fallen asleep on the treadmill instead of exercising on it. I found this funny image at Urbandictionary.com when I looked up Florida (Brandy mentioned it on her blog about looking up your state).
That image depicts Florida perfectly. We are known for our retired old people, beaches, and weather … mainly hurricanes. But when you live in Florida, it’s not a big deal. Yes Florida has been hit by hurricanes before but in most cases people across the United States knows Florida is going to get hit before the residents of Florida know. I can not tell you how many times I have heard “Veronica be careful, I hear there’s a hurricane” and considering every time I respond with a “there is? Oh hmm interesting”. I remember a few years ago when I was still in high school myself, my mother, my friend, her sister, and their mother walked around the NEIGHBORHOOD when the hurricane was hitting us. It was very windy but besides that not a big deal. We even stayed in my house without the windows boarded playing card games and goofing off. A few branches fell but that’s it, no serious damage. Now that’s a true Floridan, may seem like idiocy to you but you hear about 5-8 hurricanes a year and nothing happens it becomes no big deal. What is the area in which you live known for? And what is the weather like?
Expect a new layout tomorrow, I completed it last night and began the coding earlier today. It’s simple but contains image rollovers, because lets face it … those are fun! I am off to finish coding and straighten my room a bit since I now have a desk to store everything!

Welcome to Artsie.me, a personal blog owned by a 26 year-old graphic design graduate named

Haha… that’s a funny pic! I can’t wait to see your new layout.
The town I’m in is called “The Bubble”… it’s known for spoiled rich kids who get everything and make straight As *rolls eyes*
we dont get hurricanes here in australia, but where I used to live in hedland we were known for the heat and the cyclones. we got at least 5 red alert cyclones and then 5 or more lower rate cyclones it doesnt bother anyone anymore. you see the new town folk al stress out and hide in their houses, and then theres us locals walking around in the rain, even surfing in the waves haha
and for the messages, that always happens to me. I get random messages for some other chick to call and I’m thinking wtf… you’d think people would learn by now.
My province is known for having the most thunderstorms/supercells in all of Canada. Apparently we’re ranked number two or three next to FL for lightening. It’s kinda funny. The sky’ll go black or green or yellow and we’re still outside swimming, hiking, etc. I’ve lived in the same area for twenty years, and nothing’s happened (outside of 2005′s tornado), so I’m not afraid xD
