Blogathon – Finally Despair.nu is back and BETTER then ever, because it now has themes yay. Everyone loves the themes, so that makes me very happy. Right now there are a few errors, especially with registration so unfortunately new members can not join right now but I contacted Linda about it. I tried fixing it but I failed haha.Preview of the new look is above. I am also working on a theme that I made for Despair for Valentine’s Day, granted this was before it went down but it’s still Feb so I am adding it anyways haha.
While browsing on IntrigueMB, someone posted about skins for Windows XP and I installed a few … wow these are awesome. A preview of the current one I am using is above. At first I wasn’t sure if I’d like using it, but I love them! I always knew you could do it, but I never thought to try it out. You need certain programs to use them (which can be found at download.com) but it’s worth it.
Right now where I live in under a wind alert until about 6PM make that until tomorrow, apparently the wind speed is reaching up to about 19MPH. I only know this because I have the weather plugin installed on firefox and it tells me about weather warnings as well. Besides that it’s really pretty out, nice and sunny and only 52F. What’s the weather like where you live? I am going to work some more on Despair, I love relaxing/being lazy on Sundays haha.

Sheesh that’s some wind. Surprisingly it’s been warm here all weekend. But it’s been cold and rainy recently. Weather is doing weird stuff. YAY for despair being back though. I missed it.
Despair is back! Yay!! For some odd reason though IE (7.0) isn’t showing it but Firefox is. Maybe I just need to clear my cache and cookies?
19mph? They issue a wind alert for that low of a speed? Maybe its’ not that low, but I know high wind alerts around here aren’t issued unless it’s 25mph or more. That’s probably because are gusts usually hit around 13. There’s been some strong winds today, but they’ve died down quickly. Spring has just started though, when we get further into the season then we’ll get the impressive 30-50mph wind.
Odd, I checked in IE and it works maybe it is your cache. They probably issue ones for 19mph because the only time Florida experiences high wind is when we have hurricanes I guess.
That’s probably it. I know they didn’t used to issue wind alerts in this area for 20mph. Several years back though there was an incident where the wind was at normal speeds (21mph I think is where it was at) and then it quickly kicked up with gusts up to 75mph in some parts. There was a lot of damage and due to the poor warnings there was a lot of finger pointing as well. ~_^ But yeah, in Florida severe wind isn’t normal so thinking about it that way, yeah winds of 19mph would warrant an alert. Still, it’s odd to look at.
It’s showing up now. I had to clear the cookies, cache, and close out the IE broswer then open a new one.
Despair looks awesome! I don’t know whats alot of wind or what speeds strong winds are but I’m guessing with wind alert they’ve gotta be pretty damn strong!
The weather down here is pretty calm now. It’s pretty nice outside after being cold for the past few days. The sun has finally decided to show its face, haha.
What is the name of the weather plugin you have for Firefox? I wouldn’t mind downloading that. It could come in handy.
