So my roommate/friend Becca came into my room around 2:30pm, she looked at my bookcase where my games are at and randomly had the urge to play The Sims on the xbox. So we played! We began building a very lavish house that after we placed quite a few items in it, the house was worth well over $140k. Then we realized there was a limit as to the number of items we could place … what? So we deleted some things, knocked out some walls and now the house was only $120k. Then we go to make our characters, we make each of our people and then we try to move into our house (by the way, our neighborhood is named Sparta. We were going to name it The Shire but it wouldn’t let us space it out) only to find we can because apparently we only have $20k … oh how nice. We stopped playing at about 7! We basically did all of that work for NOTHING. LAME. Moral of the story? Sims on computer = better.
When does/did school start for you? I start Monday the 27th … ew. I want my break back! Normally I would state what classes I am taking but I have NO IDEA! I was trying to change my major to an art major so I can take the design classes I need but the art department adviser told me it was impossible for me to do it at this time since it’s limited access, there are budget cuts, and a lot of students… or something.
So now I have to figure out 4 classes to take tomorrow when registration opens again. I am waking up at 8am when it opens just to do it! I hope I get SOME good ones, or I’ll be very mad/annoyed/sad. I also wanted to go on campus to see if I could find my classes if they are in buildings I am not familiar with. Lame, again.

*sigh* I had all The Sims 2 expansion packs, but they’re all for PC. They wouldn’t run well on my MacBook because of the integrated graphics card. *sigh* I start school on September 5th. I have to go to school on the 27th to pick up my schedule and buy a planner, P.E clothes, and other things. Good luck finding your classes. I remember my first day of junior high in which I ended up going to the wrong English classroom…

I absolutely love The Sims, but I do agree, the game on the computer is a hell of a lot better. I run into the problem of having just $20k and wanting to move into a house that’s like $200k. :p

I start back university on September 6th. I’m totally dreading it because I’m still in vacation mode. ;p Hmm, never played the Sims before, but it does seem like fun. I’ll take your advice and try it on the computer, heh heh.
Good luck this year in university!

Ah, I love the Sims! But I’ve never played it on anything except PC, so I can’t really relate to your problem =P.
I started school like, two weeks ago. The first week was so hard, but I think I’m getting back into the swing of things. Good luck with getting classes you like!

Feel grateful! I go back on the 5th and I’m absolutely dreading it. Completely and utterly…. yes. You should’ve named your neighbourhood ‘Hollow’.

Hah, you know you can find The Sims cheats on gamesfaq.com, so that you can get an unlimited amount of money?
I use it whenever I build a huge house, lolz.
I have no idea when I have to start doing work again — I’m homeschooled, so I just have to wait for the work to be sent to me, I guess.
Sorry you can’t take art major, but hopefully you’ll get to pick out some classes that you like.

I have only played the Sims onces and I prefer my Caesar and Pharoah interactive games. I guess it is that I like history much better. I do want to play that Rollercoaster Tycoon game, but never have gotten a chance. I suck at video games, but suffice at computer games…lol.
Well, that bites the big one. Why not look online for courses in Graphic Design. I just got have a few more lessons with my Web Design Certificate course and then I will be moving to Graphic Design. I highly suggest it. You could apply for a grant to fund that too.

I haven’t played the Sims in so long… I don’t have any fancy ones or anything, just The Sims (the first one!) for PS2, and I don’t think you even CAN get expansion packs for that, haha
Our classes started Tuesday the 28th. I hope you got some good classes =)

I tried playing Sims on my PSP but it just isn’t the same. I agree, playing it on the computer is much better.

Omg. I hate the Sims. My families always end up dying. :[
I’m Mario, btw. From Radiant. I’m not even sure you know who I am, but I decided I was gonna comment your site anywayz.

We also started on the 27th. They didn’t post which buildings/rooms our classes were in until a couple of days before…so I didn’t have a chance to go around and find them. But everything worked out okay.
Ah, it’s been so long since I’ve played SIMS…

That sucks, at least it’s better to know a few days ahead of time instead of on the day of class
