Well Target FINALLY called me about orientation, which is tomorrow (Saturday) at 10AM. I think it will be paid which is nice, but I just hope it’s not too long. I am glad to finally have a job though :)

Despair.nu is still having its wonky moments but I am attempting to fix it, I also mentioned wanting to add new features over the summer which never happened since I guess the person who I hire to do the script work for Despair has been busy. So we’ll see. Despair also needs to be cleaned out (member, project, etc). soon but I’ve been having so many quizes, exams, and papers lately I have been unable to do it.

Over a week ago my friends/roommates and I painted our hallway in our apartment! The complex we live in told us we can paint the walls in any part of the apartment as long as we paint back over it with white when we move. They decided to paint it blue lilac, and I love the color. Painting it took hours and at first we didn’t paint the ceiling but when we removed the paint it looked horrible so the next night we painted the ceiling (same texture as walls, so it’s okay) and we love it. Here are some pictures of before and after.

Before

Before, ew icky white walls!

After

After! Second picture in this set shows how bad the ceiling looks lol.

After with the ceiling, much better :) And a closer shot of the ceiling with the color. Color is much more vibrant in person, hard to get a picture of it though.

It’s also been raining since yesterday, which sucks because I have things I need to do that involve me going outside … lame. Umbrellas = best invention ever. Now I must go since I am typing this before my next class starts … which is soon, boo.

The walls look so much better blue than white. My brother’s apartment has the same rule so we painted every room before they moved in. It’s pretty colorful now.

Lookin’ good, Naco! I really think that colour brightens up the place. :) And as for umbrellas, we carry them on our person at all times here. British weather makes this a necessity. *lol*

Wow, the walls certainly do look better that colour! It’s a shame you will have to paint over it eventually though. :(

Congrats for landing a job :) I hope it all goes well for you. Personally, I find retail is, well, an icky industry to work in. Just not for me!

    ;)

Oh yes, it is such a good thing you guys painted it over! White or any kind of grey reminds me of a hospital, lol. Hope all your classes are going well and that uni is a blast for you. :)

Thanks for commenting over at Vertigo, hun!

Don’t know what’s happened to the images, but they didn’t show. Hmm. But I’m sure they looked way better with lilac because my bedroom walls are white and… ew. Bleh. Uncool.

    Yay, I love umbrellas. :)

The images didn’t show up for me for some reason, but good job, I guess! I’ve never painted a wall before… sounds too much of a hassle for the lazy me! :P

That color is so pretty! I’d like to paint my house but since I rent I’d have to paint it back and that’s too much work. Congrats on your new job. =D

I hope this new job works out for you. I would love to work for Target but I don’t like how little the discount is.. At least you get a discount though. I love the paint color! It’s great. It looks good!

Congratulations on getting a job! It’s almost impossible to work part-time because of the tight school schedules here. Lol. But I’ll start working once I’m finished with school in November.

Your paint job!! The colours are so soft and easy on the eyes! And yes, the ceiling looks so much better coloured ;D

Congrats on your new work. I’m sorry things aren’t working the same with your online projects but you’re doing a great job so far.

I like how your walls turned out, I agree it’s a relaxing color.

It’s amazing how one color can really change the dynamic of a room. I would love to paint my walls, but I hesitate to because I am never sure what color would be the right color, or what I would be happy with. I don’t want to paint and then hate it.
