Bad Student? Perhaps.

by Veronica

So, I am sitting here in my Art & Architecture of Italy class and felt the need to blog. I always feel like a bad student when I surf the net, but at least I am still taking notes …. that makes me feel better. But my Italy teacher makes me laugh, he’s such a dork :P

Birthday outing with friends went well, The Melting Pot is tasty and our server was so cute. They don’t normally sing their and he kept saying he can’t sing but he brought out my desert the yummy cheesecake slice had a candle it and he sang a bit along with my friends. Was fun. After that we went to a place called the Irish Pub, danced, had some drinks, and some random guy asked me out on a date. I said no.

Today I am off from work (yayyy) and I am going out with my roommate, her boyfriend whose in town, a friend from work + 2 of her friends. We’re going to eat at Olive Garden, yummy and I can’t wait. We’re getting dressed up for fun, which is always nice. I also get paid today, which is nice.
Working on a few new themes for Blissful, also going to overhaul the content at some point and delete the majority of the content and what not. Need to work on Despair as well.

Lastly, for my birthday from my mom I got a new phone! I got a sidekick iD, and I love it. Texting is amusing and so is surfing the net on it. Lots of babble, sorry.

I used to do that in school. I think that’s why I got kicked out of the school cause I spent my time surfing the net instead of doing any kind of work.

Wow, it sounds like you’re going to have such a nice day. I love getting all dressed up and going out to a nice dinner. AND to get paid as well. Lol. It’s like a tripple whammy on a good front :)

I don’t have any classes that would allow me to surf on the net.
Hope you had a great day with your friends. :)

Don’t feel too bad about going online during class. I do it all the time in my programming class…and as long as you look like you’re paying attention teachers don’t usually care.

Yay for birthdays =) I hope you had fun at the Olive Garden–I haven’t been to one in forever and now I’m craving it. Lol.

Lol, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with surfing while still obtaining information. You’re learning from both sides of the mind!

That’s why I don’t bring my laptop with me when I go to classes, or I’ll never be able to concentrate. Not to mention my laptop already crashed and burnt when I tried to play MMORPGs on it. xD

It’s awesome you had a lovely b-day bash! Sounds like it was a really fun night. :)

Haha, I feel like a bad student too whenever I am surfing the net in the library instead of doing work. ;p I don’t think anyone can resist the internet in class though, especially when the prof is really dry.

As long as you don’t completely ignore the class and start doing poorly, I think you’ll be okay.

You’re better than me, LOL, because once I start surfing in class, notes are definitely a hindsight of mine. But then again, most of my teachers just say exactly what’s on the powerpoints, so I’m usually fine =D

And it’s SO not fair, I’ve NEVER went to Olive Garden and I <3 italian food. =P *is jealous*

xP Lol, I could do that in class too, but the only computers at school are in the library and the librarians check from their computer what sites are being visited. :S And once you’re busted, you can’t go back in the library for a while..

Happy belated birthday! It sounds like you had a wonderful time. They don’t have “The Melting Pot” restaurants here but it sounds like a great atmosphere. Even though you didn’t like the guy who asked you out, it’s still a nice compliment to have on your birthday night. :)

“The Irish Pub?” Sounds kinda gimmicky, like the pubs in other countries that pretend to be like UK/Irish ones but aren’t anything like it. *lol* Nevertheless, it sounds like a fun place to hang out.

I like the Melting Pot. =) I’ve been there a few times with my boyfriend and various members of his family. It is delicious and I love finger food, but it is not a good place to visit if you are *very* hungry!!

I wish I had a computer back when I was in school but the only class I could surf on was the computer class.

Sounds like you had a nice birthday. How cute of the waiter to sing for you!

Congrats on the Sidekick! I want one, but they don’t sell it here. :( And I’m on prepaid so I wouldn’t be able to use it fully even if I got one, haha.
