Spring Break, oh how I love thee!

by Veronica

I am on Spring Break, wooo. I drove home Friday, and what normally takes about 2 1/2 hours took 3 1/2 because it was raining …. almost the whole way. I took pictures of the storm but of course me and my moronic self forgot to being the usb cable :x And of course on the road there are always those morons that want to go over 80 mph (speed limit is 70, but most people were going 60-65 since it was so bad out). And of course there’s always those other morons who don’t turn on their lights T_T But oh well, I made it home safely so that’s good :P

Hung out with some friends last night and tonight I am going out to dinner with my sister and my mother. Yesterday I also went out with my mother and we went to Target (I always feel weird going to another Target since I know the one I work at better) and we purchased  wireless for the house (woot now I don’t have to steal the cord and put it in my room or the living room anymore lol) and also bought a new cd player for my car that I can also plug my ipod into my old cd player acts weird with some cds, and it’s about 4 years old just have to get in installed).

Site wise Despair.nu is getting it’s overhaul over my break, with the assistance of others which is always nice. I also began editing things here at Blissful, which expires in about 2 weeks (almost 2 years old!) so of course I am renewing it but it does need some tidying up. I removed more than half of the themes (I am over the whole ‘celeb layout’ thing) and the currently list of themes are located here.  I also removed all of the magazine scans and will start working on removing some of the other content too (mainly tutorials).

For those in school, when is your spring break? Any plans for it? Also want to mention that my sister is a little over 2 weeks pregnant, woot. Too soon to know what it is but I am hoping for a girl, and I don’t believe her and her husband have a preference.

Yay, at least you made it home safely despite the weather conditions! :) I had my spring break already back in February. We call it “reading week” in Canada because it is usually a time for us to get caught up/study. I didn’t do much during my break though! I mostly caught up on sleep.. :)

Hope your spring break is awesome! Revamping/tidying up is always good!

Looking forward to the Despair revamp. I hope I get consideration for being a mod, as you once said you needed some! I’m very interested and willing to help. Congratulations on your sister’s pregnancy, I don’t know if it’s your first niece/nephew or not, but if it is…get ready for an amazingly great experience. I took care of my niece for the first moth of her life practically (my sis had a c-section) and I have no words to describe the feeling of being with her. Her tiny body and the effect she had on me, she changed me. I hope everything goes well!

Congrats on your sis’s pregnancy. My sis is pregnant as well, so I know the happy feeling! Anyway, I hate other drivers. I really hate driving.

Spring break? I had mine already but I didn’t know it was a spring break! lol
I live in the Caribbean, there’s no spring here. My university course is in sync with a foreign one…so if I get a break, it’s just a break!

Congrats on your sister’s pregnancy. Two weeks is very early so she has quite a long while to go.

I’m vaguely jealous. I have never in my life gotten a spring break!! However, every school I’ve gone to started later and ended sooner than all the other schools, so I guess it evens out.

Then again, maybe we always HAD a spring break… but it got gummed up by snow days. Curses!
