I am taking part in the Veracity 31 day blog challenge! Week 3 theme is Picture-A-Day! And the Day 16  prompt is: Show us a picture of yourself that you like. Why do you like it?

This picture was taken in 2007 during the summer time. I remember it was my first summer back home to visit my family after moving to Tallahassee for school. I let Neo (my dog) outside and ventured outside with him with my camera in hand. After snapping a few shots of him I took pictures of myself out of boredom. For whatever reason I decided to lay down on the grass (if I remember correctly I almost hit an ant hill) and try to take a picture. I LOVED how it turned out! It was unplanned and rather random and I just love how it turned out. I’d like to re-create this shot with a nicer camera (once I get the chance to buy a DSLR!) of either myself or a friend.

I loved the image so much it inspired me to graphically edit it, which is the image above. It was posted on my DeviantArt account around the same time I took the photo.

(Realized how blurry my face looks in the image, I didn’t really touch up my photos back then so I have no clue why. Think I just went edit happy on it – haha. Thankfully since than I have learned how to edit photos a bit better :P)
