I had a lovely trip to TN and am back in Florida. Visiting until Tuesday when I am going back to Tallahassee, boo. And working Wednesday morning. Epic boo. Nephew is here for the weekend and he’s such a joy, when he’s not chasing my dog and throwing cheerios everywhere
But I wanted to share Neo, my dog’s, amazing epic mad skillz. Cos he has them, oh does he ever.
After seeing Rose’s blog about her dogs balancing things on their heads (which she originally got from Heather Armstrong), I wanted to see how my dog would fair up. It was pretty much fail. Neo will do anything for a treat, but he also gets super excited when you get one and starts prancing around like a horse (not even kidding). So instead I just made him “sit” and “stay” and balanced this pink hat toy a neighbor got him on his head, kinda. Here are the ‘best’ shots.

He looks offended by the pink hat
‘Cos he’s a boy and all.

Notice the cheerios on the floor?

Mid bark.

This counts right?
Okay so I guess he did well
I think he prefers playing dead and jumping through a hula-hoop though.
I drove home today and I am so happy to off for 2 weeks from work and Tallahassee in general
Tomorrow is shopping day when my mom gets off work, hoping to convince my mom to let me get a portable dvd player for the trip to TN on Thursday. I have one somewhere in my apartment but I couldn’t find it and it’s so old the battery life isn’t up to par anymore (plus it doesn’t have a cigarette lighter adapter to charge with!). Not going to get anything expensive, just something cheapish to last me the trip
(I grabbed several movies to watch!). If I don’t get that I’ve been wanting Rhythm Heaven for the ds
Someone at work has it and he loves it and ever since it came out I always wanted to get it.
I’m going to try to pack many goodies to entertain myself with: laptop (but the battery life sucks so I can’t do much with it), ipod, dvd player (hopefully!), sketchbook, and nintendo ds. And I’ll also have the first True Blood book to read too, I haven’t read in a car in ages so I hope it doesn’t make me sick (it used to not to!).
Coming home is always nice though, I got here before my mom got off so I saw my little adorable dog Neo first
He looked so happy to see me (but he’s happy to see anyone really :P) but I noticed one of his eyes is cloudy. It looks like little ol’ Neo may have a cataract, when we get back we have to take him to the vet so they can test his urine (ew, I have to attempt to collect it … tmi … and I don’t see that working well :P) for certain diseases so they can check his eye out too. I can’t believe he’s 9, he doesn’t act like it but he’s starting to show more and more signs of his age

Look at that face? How can you not want to hug it?! Meet Neo Angelus, my 9 year old poodle/terrier/something else mutt. He’s named after the Matrix and Buffy. And he’s awesome. But I decided a long time ago he’s an alien. Because that explains most of the things he does or can do. And here’s why I think so.
