When I was younger my sister and I would visit our Dad and Stepmom in Ohio. This particular time I was probably about 6/7 which would make my sister 16/17. Now naturally my sister was wiser and older and smarter etc etc etc (at least she acted that way :P). Crushing my childhood was something she did frequently, she probably has no memory of doing so but it happened often! We both still remember this event though, and it makes me laugh now.

I remember being in Ohio visiting my Dad and Stepmom with my sister when somehow we got into this debate (aka them vs me) about Lassie. I LOVED Lassie as a child. A cute fluffy dog that saves people?! Seeing as I always wanted a pet at that age that was my dream dog. I wanted to have a dog like that, so badly. I don’t remember how it started, but I remember how it ended. Somehow someone brought up to me that Lassie is a boy. I of course was 6/7 and knew everything and kept saying “No, Lassie’s a girl dog!”, because that’s what the dog was so naturally I assumed the dog playing Lassie was a girl too. My sister, dad and stepmom, kept trying to tell me she was really a he. I remember they kept saying that a girl dog would not do those tricks or roll around in the dirt (or something like that). I remember laying on the couch ANNOYED at them for telling me this. For weeks I thought they were lying. I remember being almost in TEARS at this news because I was just so upset at the fact that the show was lying by using a male dog to play a female dog.

Of course years and years later I realized they were right and discovered the amazingness that is the internet and was able to look it up myself . I laugh at it now, considering how upset and angry I was. You’d think they told me Santa Claus was fake or something because I was really that mad, over a DOG. My sister still remembers this (we talked about it many months ago) and I’m sure remembers the pure rage that I was having over such an event. I think I was more upset over this then when I realize there was tooth fairy (I’ll blog about that soon too, it’s an amusing story). Anything specific from your child like this? Whether it was learning about Santa Claus or something show related like me?

Vlog soon as well, once I stop getting distracted by shiny things.

Edit: So I remember mentioning this once to my sister on facebook and I found it on her wall. From last year, she apparently doesn’t remember telling me Lassie was a boy.  Veronica = Me, Allison = my sister, and Nancy = one of my aunts. I think I’m slightly offended she doesn’t remember this since it was such a huge deal to me when I was younger

SO CUTE :D! It’s so nice walking in her room and going through her stuff … I mean playing with the kitty. Yeah that’s it. … anyways, there’s nothing like going in her room and the little Yuki monster running up to me purring and meowing He’s a growing baby boy of hyperness. He’s definitely a very nice addition to the apartment He’s also run into our closet mirrors (our two door closet doors are just giant mirrors) about 5 times I think? Enough talk, here’s photos.

After seeing Rose’s blog about her dogs balancing things on their heads (which she originally got from Heather Armstrong), I wanted to see how my dog would fair up. It was pretty much fail. Neo will do anything for a treat, but he also gets super excited when you get one and starts prancing around like a horse (not even kidding). So instead I just made him “sit” and “stay” and balanced this pink hat toy a neighbor got him on his head, kinda. Here are the ‘best’ shots.

Right now I have everything charging though. My ipod, cellphone, camera, and nintendo ds. I’m going to have to amuse myself for many hours when I am unable to sleep in the car. Since I won’t be able to take part in the blogathon (no net) until next Tuesday when I am back in Florida, I’ll be keeping a blog just on my laptop to post when I get back (I’ll keep them short though of course).

One of my cousins had a baby 2 weeks ago so I’ll be excited to see baby Julie I’ve seen pics on fb of her and her hubby with the baby and she’s sooooo cute! I’ll also see the rest of my family which I haven’t seen in years! Along with my dad, stepmom, and little brother (its my grandmother, my dad’s mom’s bday saturday). Very excited Slept too late today so I didn’t have time to do a vlog :p Expect one next week when I get back

I’m going to try to pack many goodies to entertain myself with: laptop (but the battery life sucks so I can’t do much with it), ipod, dvd player (hopefully!), sketchbook, and nintendo ds. And I’ll also have the first True Blood book to read too, I haven’t read in a car in ages so I hope it doesn’t make me sick (it used to not to!).

Coming home is always nice though, I got here before my mom got off so I saw my little adorable dog Neo first He looked so happy to see me (but he’s happy to see anyone really :P) but I noticed one of his eyes is cloudy. It looks like little ol’ Neo may have a cataract, when we get back we have to take him to the vet so they can test his urine (ew, I have to attempt to collect it … tmi … and I don’t see that working well :P) for certain diseases so they can check his eye out too. I can’t believe he’s 9, he doesn’t act like it but he’s starting to show more and more signs of his age

• The power went out again today. For an hour. On the bright side I am about halfway through the first book that True Blood is based on And it’s awesome! The show follows it well
• Today was also my last day of work for 2 weeks
• Going home tomorrow
• Shopping Wednesday or tomorrow night with my mother (hopefully).
• Driving to South Carolina with my mom on Thursday to meet up with my aunt and uncle then driving to Tennessee.
• SC to TN is an 8 hour drive … omg. I plan on staying up as late as I can Wednesday night so I sleep most of the trip.
• I still haven’t packed.
• Blogging now isn’t helping me pack and quicker :D!
• I hope to remember to bring my nintendo ds ‘cos I am so playing that in between sleeping on the trip
• Hoping to buy a new game when I go shopping :D! Trying to convince my mother it’s needed
• I use smilies a lot to emphasize things but I don’t think it really works that. I just find them cute to be honest
• I need to make new smilies, these are old.
• I really should pack now. It’s almost 12am
• Clothes should pack themselves.

I saw Toy Story 3 tonight and it was AMAZING. I was a huge fan of the first film when I was little (to be honest I don’t remember too much about the second :P) so I was so excited to hear about a third! Toy Story 3 definitely has a lot to offer to the older fans who have grown up a little as well as to newer fans.

The basic premise of the movie is that Andy is going off to college and doesn’t need his toys anymore. Through some misfortune and a misunderstanding the toys end up at Sunnyside Day Care. Woody tries to escape to go back to Andy, only to find out that Sunnyside isn’t so sunny. So Woody makes his way back to bust them out. More things happen involving an Buzz speaking Spanish, the little aliens finding the ‘ultimate’ claw, and the toys always being burned

There’s a mean bear that’s huggable, purple, and smells like strawberries. A creepy baby, and many other new toys. I won’t spoil the ending at all, but of course there’s a happy ending I greatly enjoyed this movie! The action in the movie was amazing, the toys were all designed well, and it really reawakens your own imagination. Pixar also is famous for the short films at the beginning, and “Night & Day” is also a great addition to the film!

I definitely recommend for anyone and everyone to see this film! I can not wait for it to com out on dvd I give Toy Story 3 5/5 stars, for the action, adventure, dialogue, making me laugh way too much sometimes, and the overall plot. The movie was highly enjoyable. So go see it now, what are you waiting for ;)?

Irony of this post is yesterday I talked about the power going out at work, well when I got home from the movie the power was out! Was out for maybe 20 mins until it came back on but when I got settled on the computer with my laptop it went out again, oh joy. So I typed this up in the dark, yay.
